About Me

Creative writing is an art form. It’s subjective. Not everyone is going to like it, but there is an audience out there. I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed reading nonfiction until I came across Nicholas Sparks’ Three Weeks with my Brother or Dean Karnazes’ Ultramarathon Man. Many of you know that Sparks is a writer by trade and Karnazes, a runner, but it was the way they told their stories that made memoir a standout genre for me.

I felt something in me that said, “I want to do this.” My desire to particpate in ultrarunning and my eagerness to go beyond 26. 2 miles was because of Karnazes’ experiences. Now it’s time for me to write all about those experiences and everything else that made me who I am today.

Tapping into my educational background in creative writing, I hope to bring you some life experiences otherwise known as lessons learned to help you unlock the creative in you.
